Ballast Water Reporting Form
All commercial vessels arriving into New Zealand from an overseas port are required to present one copy of an
Inward Report (Ships) Form C1 (includes crew list) to Customs, which must contain the following information:
- Part A – arrival details of craft
- Part B – supporting documentation (see below) relating to goods and persons on board
- Part C – Ships stores list.
The inward report must be signed by the owner or person in charge of the craft. It may not be signed by any other person. Where documentation is generated electronically, it must contain the same information that is required on the inward report form.
The following documentation should be attached to the inward report if applicable, otherwise attach a nil return.
Other documents required to be presented on arrival include:
- a valid travel document for each person on board
- a valid visa for each person disembarking, if required
- Border Cash Report, if required.
