Once you have entered New Zealand territorial waters (12 nautical miles), the International Q-flag must be clearly displayed.
Once your craft has arrived in New Zealand, you will be met by Customs and Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry/Biosecurity New Zealand (MAFBNZ) officers. With the exception of an emergency situation, all persons and goods must remain on board until the craft has been entered.
These documents must be presented on arrival:
- an Inward Report (Small Craft); and
- a completed New Zealand Passenger Arrival Card for each person on board; and
- a valid passport for each person on board; and
- Border Cash Report, if required; and
- completed Import Entry (Temporary) Yachts and Small Vessels form; and
- last port clearance; and
- MAF Masters Declaration.
