Certificate of Clearance

Yachts and small craft may not depart from any Customs place in New Zealand, to a point outside New Zealand, unless a Certificate of Clearance has been granted.

• completed New Zealand Passenger Departure Cards and passports for every person departing on the craft
• a completed Outward Report (Yacht) form, along with a recent photograph of the craft, suitable for visual identification, or search and rescue
• if your craft was entered on an Import Entry (Temporary) Yachts and Small Vessels , the yellow copy of the form
• if your craft is registered in New Zealand, a Maritime NZ Inspection Safety Certificate from Yachting New Zealand. For further information, phone 027-458 3915 or 09-361 1471.
