Christchurch detector dogs impress kids at Dogs Day Out

Two Christchurch Customs dogs and their handlers recently volunteered their assistance at The Press Dogs Day Out on Sunday 12 July.

Sean Quin and explosive-detector dog Luka, and Robert Gillanders and drug-detector dog Louie were star attractions with their demonstrations to Christchurch kids.

The event encouraged members of the public to bring their dogs along for a fun day for the whole family.  Kids were able to play games, view every dog related display imaginable, and enter various competitions such as Pimp My Pooch!

The turnout was even bigger than the previous year and organisers have had some great feedback.
