Andrew Coleman, New Zealand Customs Service Group Manager Intelligence, Planning & Coordination.

Andrew Coleman is the Group Manager Intelligence, Planning & Coordination, a new group that provides operational linkages and support to all operational groups.  Andrew joined the Service in 1998 as the National Manager Intelligence, also managing the Air and Marine division for periods of time.  Andrew has developed a comprehensive intelligence model for Customs including managing and analysing organisational information, intelligence and risk assessments and intelligence support to operations.

Andrew has represented New Zealand in international fora including Customs Heads of Intelligence, Oceania Customs Organisation and the World Customs Organisation Enforcement Committee.

Prior to joining Customs, Andrew spent 21 years with the New Zealand Police, principally in the area of investigations and intelligence management.
