John Kyne, Chief Financial Officer, New Zealand Customs Service.

John Kyne is the Chief Financial Officer for Customs, overseeing finance, corporate services and revenue collection.  He is responsible for having systems in place to collect $8 billion in Crown revenue in 2005-2006.

John has over 24 years public sector experience in four other government departments – Social Welfare, Labour, Commerce and Courts.

Since joining Customs in 1998, John has been involved in developing Customs' information systems and management capabilities, as well as managing procurement projects.
