Non-revenue Adjustments

 

Where entry details are found to be incorrect and these do not impact on the Customs charges payable, the entry may be adjusted. These changes include amendments to the invoice number, shipping details or detail line amendments such as tariff item, country of origin, and so on.
 
Any adjustment to an entry requires notification to Customs in order for the entry to be cleared.
 
If the method of payment is being changed from cash to deferred payment, it is a requirement that the National Call Centre in Auckland is advised so the change may be actioned. Their contact numbers are 0800 428 786 or 09-300 5399.
 
Where any other change to the payment method is required, contact the National Credit Control Unit in Auckland, phone 09-359 6521.
 
The following entry fields cannot be amended. The entry will require cancellation and replacement:
  • Importer code
  • Broker code
  • Declarant code
  • Broker reference number
  • Client reference number.
