    Frequently Asked Question

    Q

Do I have anything to pay on jewellery that has been in my family for years?

    A

If the jewellery is an heirloom (a deceased person has left it to you) it may qualify for duty free entry. If it is not an heirloom it will be treated as a gift, and Customs charges may be payable. More info
