Fact Sheet 34D - Secure Exports Scheme Transport Operators

This fact sheet describes how the Secure Exports Scheme affects transport operators. In response to the increased need of security for export products, Customs has developed the voluntary Secure Exports Scheme (SES). An integral part of the scheme is that approved partners have a security plan that includes the contractual arrangements with transport operators and outlines the agreed practices for uplift, storage and transportation of their export cargo through to the port of loading. Methods of transportation are via road, rail, coastal sea and air.
