19. What if there is no storage facility left in the geographic region (e.g. bumper harvest)?

A

Refer to question 1.

Any applications for “remote storage” would be considered on a case by case basis. Factors that would be taken into account would include the purpose of the transfer out of the geographical location and ultimate storage destination.

Any approval would be temporary and granted until the need was over.

It is unlikely that a manufacturer/owner would be granted multiple storage facilities in several regions at once as again this is not considered to be within the intent of The Act in relation to offsite storage.
