2. If the first owner is out of the 'geographic region' can the wine be moved to the owner's region before tax is due?

A

  1. Currently the New Zealand Customs Service policy is not to permit the storage of finished wine to be stored in an offsite storage area outside of the geographic location of the Licensed Manufacturing Area [LMA].

  2. If the finished wine cannot be stored within an LMA then it could be transferred to offsite storage [licensed] within the first owners region with Customs approval.
