21. Can licences be surrendered?

A

Yes. The legislation requires written advice in writing and with one month's notice.

The one month’s notice is required to allow the NZ Customs Service to undertake an ‘exit audit’ and assess any duty liability that may be owing, or to provide an approval for any excisable goods to be moved to another CCA.
