All other ports (Auckland City, Auckland Mangere, Tauranga, New Plymouth, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin) –
9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Tuesday 5 January 2016 (Monday being a public holiday)
All counters back to 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, excluding Nelson (1:00 pm to 4:30 pm) and Napier (8:00 am to 12:30 pm).
For urgent enquiries when our offices are closed, please phone Customs on 0800 4 CUSTOMS (0800 428 786), and MPI on 0800 00 83 33.
You can request an urgent or priority clearance by appointment on the statutory holidays (25 and 26 December 2015 / 1 and 2 January 2016). This applies only in certain circumstances such as pets and domestic animals, or human remains imports.
You will need to call 0800 4 CUSTOMS (0800 428 786). An officer will take your contact details, reason for urgent clearance, and call you back to confirm an appointment time and location – this will depend of the urgency and availability.
Integrated Targeting Operations Centre (ITOC) assistance will be as follows:
ITOC Ops receive a phone call and determine if the need for clearance is urgent. If considered urgent ITOC will obtain a contact number for the customer and then call through to ACIF phone 09 255 6691.
If ACIF staff are onsite ITOC Ops to provide them with the clearance request details and the customer’s contact number. ACIF staff will call the person back and arrange a suitable clearance appointment time.
ITOC Ops unable to contact ACIF staff then we contact Auckland Airport Control Room phone 09 255 6697 and the Airport staff will contact the customer back and arrange a suitable clearance appointment time.
CARGO AND MAIL HOURS
The following operational hours and changes apply:
Air Cargo Inspection Facility: 7:00 am to 8:30 pm, weekdays and 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Sundays.
International Mail Centre: 6:00 am to 8:00 pm, weekdays and 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Sundays.
Sea Cargo Inspection Facility: 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
All cargo and mail inspections are closed for statutory holidays on 25 – 28 December, 1 – 4 January with the exception of the International Mail Centre being open Sunday 27 December and Sunday 3 January.
DEFERRED PAYMENT SCHEME SCHEDULE
The production of broker deferred payment statements and direct debit dates will be rescheduled as follows:
Broker Deferred Scheme payment date change over Christmas
The Broker Deferred scheme direct debit payment that would fall this year on the 30 December 2015 will be postponed until the 6 January 2016 due to the Christmas break.
Deferred Scheme Statements over Christmas
Despatch of the Deferred scheme monthly statements as at 31 December 2015 will be postponed until the 7 January 2016 due to the Christmas break. Email statements will be sent on the night of 5 January 2016.
Goods Cost Recovery Statements over Christmas
Despatch of the GCR monthly statements as at 31 December 2015 will be postponed until the 7 January 2016 due to the Christmas break. Email statements will be sent on the night of 5 January 2016.
