Firearms and weapons
The importation of firearms is strictly controlled and a New Zealand Police
permit to import is required. This permit should be obtained prior to the firearms arriving in New Zealand. The importation of certain types of weapons such as flick knives, butterfly knives, swordsticks, knuckle-dusters and any weapon designed to give the appearance of another article is prohibited.
