There is no limit on the amount of cash you can bring into New Zealand. If you have NZ$10,000 or more cash (or the foreign currency equivalent), you need to complete a Border Cash Report.The definition of 'Cash' is "the coin or paper money of NZ or a foreign country". It does not include travellers cheques or other monetary instruments.
