Furthermore, importers and their agents are also reminded that as of 01 January 2022 single use (disposable) vaping devices and the like, along with vaping liquid refills etc., are classified under either:
· 2404.12.00.00C “Other, Products containing tobacco, reconstituted tobacco, nicotine, or tobacco or nicotine substitutes, intended for inhalation without combustion; other nicotine containing products intended for the intake of nicotine into the human body” or
· 3824.99.49.30L (Not containing Nicotine) “Other mixtures containing halogenated derivatives of acyclic hydrocarbons containing two or more different halogens”.
Please review your databases and make any necessary adjustments. Additionally, please ensure that items such as infra-red remote controls, speakers and assorted other electronic equipment is not held in your databases classified as vaping devices.
