How to view an excise duty invoice in Trade Single Window (TSW)

You can view, save and print excise duty invoices (also referred to as statements) for excise entries you have previously submitted.


How to view an excise duty invoice

  1. Visit tsw.govt.nz using Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome.
  2. Log in to TSW using your existing RealMe account login details.

  1. Select My Lodgements on the left of your TSW home page.

  1. Scroll down until you see My Excise Returns, then click into the Sender's Reference Number of the entry you want to view.

  1. From inside the entry, select the Print button located at the top right of the page.

  1. Select Cash Statement from the print options displayed.
    If nothing happens when you select Print, enable popups for the TSW website in your browser settings.

  1. This will display the statement for the entry you selected.

How to pay excise duty

Pay your excise duty using the following bank details:

  • Account Name: New Zealand Customs Service – Crown Receipts Account
  • Account Number: 03-0049-0000706-26
  • SWIFT Code: WPACNZ2W
  • Payment references
    • Particulars: Leave this field blank
    • Code: Enter CEXC
    • Reference: Enter your Customs Excise Code (for example, 01234567A)

If you have more than one Customs Excise Code, pay the duty for each separately using the applicable Client code in the Reference for each transaction.
