Border Forecasting

Scenarios and estimates of future border volumes of incoming passengers and cargo, through both aviation and maritime borders.

These scenarios are updated every 6 months and provide a common and consistent basis border agencies to use in their planning.

There is a large amount of uncertainty associated with these scenarios, which rely on assumptions about governments’ border restrictions and policies in response to new developments, as well as decisions of airlines, airports, and individual travellers.
